Such perfect timing! because in this article, I will be discussing tools, resources and dropping links to all the online resources I have used and still using as a self developer to improve myself.
There is no arguing about how important the internet has helped and is still helping self-developers. On this internet, there are basic tools that would get you started and if you have already started, it would help you improve your tech journey and make it a pleasant one.
Online Courses.

Here is a list of sites to check for the courses you wish to take on your journey. Note: Not all sites would be mentioned below, only those I believe to be very good.
I took a particular course on Udemy— The 100 days of code Bootcamp Course— when I started as a Python Developer. That course helped me tremendously, from the exercises to the final encouragement tips at the end of every day's lesson were superb.
A big shout-out to Angela Yu for the successful creation of this course🤩. In that course, my thinking faculty and creativity were stretched beyond, I could start a project from scratch, it gave me the confidence to see a python problem and immediately turn in solutions in less than a minute. Just looking at a problem, I could figure out what was needed to solve it. Let's not even get started on the beautiful projects I built with it.
Twitter Communities and spaces.
One minute of blessing for the Board of Twitter for creating this. This medium has connected me with a lot of brilliant minds in this tech space, from females to males, you name it.
The communities are so committed to seeing newbies and techies in the space grow into professionals. In these communities, tips on improving daily are dropped, questions are asked and appropriate answers are given, job opportunities, internships and so many other things that would elevate your career are provided.
The twitter spaces that hold virtually every day are also very helpful, as they attack targeted areas of pain points in the tech space, unanswered questions you might have about a particular niche, and many more things.
These two tools have helped me so much because I am always leaving those spaces or communities with another impactful tip and responsibility to better myself in this space.

Have you been coding and suddenly, you're stuck, the problem that looked easy is now having bugs and giving birth to little more bugs. Frustrating right? Stack Overflow is to developers as Quora is to answer seekers.
Here, so many coding problems are solved by random people, and yes, you can also provide solutions to people's coding problems too. Just take it as a question and answer bank. So whenever you are stuck again and need a way out, just type stack overflow on google or click this link here.
Online Coding Challenges.
There are online coding competitions that help you immensely in your tech career,build your innovation and creativity, and also looks good on your resume and portfolio. Hacker Earth.
Online connection and friendships.
I can't seem to overemphasize the role the right connection online and offline has played in shaping my tech career. On days I felt so down, demotivated, stuck and inadequate; I had those people who have been there to give me words of encouragement and help.
A big shout out to Offisong Emmanuel a Data scientist and a schoolmate who started this tech journey with me, encouraging me all way, and is still here encouraging me, Lawal Mohammed a Solidity Developer who I connected with on one of the Twitter tech spaces, a big motivation, drive(he would definitely use these praises to taunt me in the future😂), Ndujekuwu Ugochukwu a Backend developer who has also been a source of motivation and inspiration to me, and thanks to many others who have in one way helped my journey.
They have been a very helpful human connection tool for helping me reach my potential. So also, go out there and build those online connections that would be there to encourage you on your bad and worst days and help you grow in your tech journey.
